Sports ’n Social Connections (SSC) is a Denver non-profit club organized to provide members the opportunity to meet new friends and participate in various sport and social activities. Member include both singles and couples and are primarily age 45 and above.
Are you too busy to book a tee-time, reserve theatre tickets? Would you like company on that bike ride or hike? How about taking in a movie with us? Does a social after work on Friday sound like fun? SSC membership fees are very reasonable. There is a one-time Initiation charge of $25 payable with the annual Membership fee of $50 when joining the club. Yearly renewal fees are $50. A prospective member is allowed to attend four activities before we ask for a membership. Membership details
Members are invited to host activities of their choosing. Hosting doesn’t necessarily have to be in the member’s home. We encourage hosts to plan their chosen activity. It could be anything from a hayrack ride to marble shooting. Whatever the host would like to offer in the way of an activity for others to enjoy. Members are also welcome to assist with scheduled activities by taking RSVPs, greeting, etc.
Each fall an Annual Meeting is held to elect the twelve-member Board of Directors for the coming year. The Board is comprised of: President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, five Special Coordinators and three Members-At-Large. All Board members are volunteer club members and are not compensated. SSC communication is primarily web-based for calendars and weekly updates, but for those without web access other means of communication may be arranged.
